The Tri-Valley FFA greenhouse will be open Saturday, April 26th, and Saturday, May 3rd from 8 am-1 pm. We are allowing customers to enter the main academic doors to the high school and travel through our commons area to enter the greenhouse. You do not need to walk around the building to get back to the greenhouse. We will have plenty of students help carry plants to your cars. Just a friendly reminder that we take checks and cash. Also, there will be a spring craft and vendor show in the commons area during the first sale. Feel free to check this out after you shop for plants! We look forward to seeing you all at the sale, and thank you in advance for your support!

The McLean County Clerk’s office has posted the final results for the April 1 election. County election officials have confirmed that the following candidates for the Board of Education have won the election for the following terms: Ryan Nicholson (Old Town) - 2-year unexpired term Brian Myers (Old Town) - 4 year full term Bobby Brown (Downs) - 4 year full term Mariah Bruning (Downs) - 4 year full term For this election, the school district’s limitation of no more than 3 board members from any township did impact the results. While another candidate did receive more votes, the limitation of 3 had already been met for Old Town township. Thus, Mariah Bruning legitimately won the final seat, representing Downs township. The Board of Education will have a public meeting on Wednesday, April 23, at 6:00 PM in the Unit Office to formally reorganize. We sincerely thank all of the candidates who participated in the election and congratulate those elected to the Board of Education.

Election Results and Thank You! We have two short updates on last night’s election. First, we are excited to announce that the County School Facilities (CSFT) tax referendum has passed! Thank you to everyone who stayed informed, got involved, and cast their vote. We sincerely appreciate your support and engagement, and this positive result is a big step forward for our schools and community! We encourage you to visit our school website to learn more about how these funds will benefit our schools, and how we will continue to earn your trust through communication and transparency. Secondly, we also want to inform you that results are not yet finalized for the Tri-Valley Board of Education election. One seat involves a write-in candidacy and those results have yet to be announced by the McLean County election officials. Who ultimately wins the write-in seat will have an impact on who is eligible for the remaining three seats, as our district has a 3-person limit from each township. We will announce the final results and who will be seated on the Board of Education once those results become official.
